James Tilly

Having been born and brought up in Norfolk I have now returned to focus on equine and large animal practice. I am passionate about local independent veterinary practice and excited to be part of the Breckland Vet team.

I was fortunate enough to study at the Royal Veterinary College and, during my time there, was able to experience practice at several large equine hospitals in the UK and Australia. Upon graduation in 2017 I was offered a one-year rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College Equine Referral Hospital where I expanded my knowledge and experience in all areas of equine and large animal medicine and surgery. Upon completion I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice, following this I worked in mixed practice in rural Norfolk, before joining Breckland Vets.

My clinical interests include equine lameness, poor performance and surgery and I also enjoy all aspects of large animal work as well.

In my free time, I assist with my family’s flock of pedigree Suffolk sheep as well as enjoying sports and socialising.
